Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Surrender to My Love
“Surrender to my love. I am changeless and I am consistent. This does not mean that I am not flexible nor does it meant that I do not consider each person and each circumstance for what I can do. Most of all, what I can do is love. Sometimes, people do not understand this love. Rather they think my love is judgment or neglect. As a result, people do not understand the power of my love. My love holds all things together, it sustains all of life. It heals, breaks down barriers. My love creates, makes all things new and in the process the old passes away. So, do not cling to the old, rather participate in the creative energy of my love. I love you.”
Although God’s love (however you understand Go) is changeless and eternal and very consistent, we sometimes miss this point of God’s love because we are eager to hold on to the old ways, that we know and understand even though they may bring us difficulty. God’s love wants to make us into the new thing that we ourselves are craving. And to do that we often have to let go of old ways of being. What are you holding on to? Is it grief, anger, fear, anguish? What would happen if you let it go? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
perfect! thank you for this, Michael.
