Whether it was a church, mosque or synagogue, if you are like most people, you grew up learning about God as an important part of life. And if you are like many people, as an adult you are finding yourself questioning your faith, wrestling and struggling with your faith, as you attempt to make sense of life and what’s going on in the world around you. You are thinking about leaving the church, or you have already left the church, in pursuit of something different, something more personal and meaningful in your spiritual practice.
The early years were easy.
Somebody told you who God was and what you needed to do to please God and live in His favor. You heard all of the stories about the miracles of God and you were inspired. You learned that you were loved and everything was better when God loved you and was pleased with you.
As you grew up, you began to have experiences in which what you’d been told you must believe about God and the reality of your life just didn’t add up.
You began to question everything you’d been told about God, to journey inward into what you really believed in the core of your being to be true. You are questioning your faith. You are deeply questioning and reexamining your beliefs. Struggling to find a way to have a spiritual practice that lets you connect with God in a way that feels good and right, that feels true to who you are.
You are struggling to find others who are on a similar journey who you can talk with about your questions, thoughts and experiences. You are struggling to find the guidance you need to continue your explorations, to be asked the right questions to get at the heart of what matters to you, and to do it all in the easiest way possible.
You are in the right place.
