Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
The Kingdom Is Here
“The Kingdom is here. It is in you and your neighbor and even in the one you call enemy. When you realize this, then my kingdom is present. That is the kingdom of peace, hope, love and joy and it incarnates into the world. This teaching is as old as time and has been spoken by all the great spiritual teachers. Love is the key to all things, my love, divine love, holy love, transcendent love, whatever you want to call it. It is basic, it is elemental…it is present and real in you and your neighbor. It is necessary for the presence of the kingdom in your life. And whether you can believe it or not, that love is present in the one you call enemy. . Seek, what is good. Do what is helpful and you will see, the Kingdom is here. I love you.”
The Kingdom of God is Love, hope, peace and joy. The kingdom of God is in each of us, even our enemy. What are the obstacles to the kingdom of God in your life? As we work on incarnating the kingdom of God in our personal lives, the kingdom of God becomes incarnate in the world. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
Michael,
Thank you for these Friday posts. They’re always inspiring and uplifting … good reminders!
