Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
The Business of Love
We are about the business of love. We are not about the business of judging. The world will only be reconciled to itself when humanity understands the unity of the whole creation and cosmos. Everything is intrinsically connected. One part cannot be changed without effect to the other parts of the whole. Greed has moved in where love could have grown. So, the solution is to invite love in. Let love move back into your life and your relationships with God, self, your neighbor, the cosmos and most importantly the enemy or one who is different from you. Therefore, when you find yourself in conflict, remember that you are to love. Remember to speak the truth in love and to listen for understanding.
Ponder
When we find ourselves in conflict we often listen in order to form a response rather than listening for understanding. Sometimes this puts us on the defensive. When we understand that we are all connected there is nothing to defend. Everyone and everything has its part. Therefore, try and do your part to stay connected to God (however you understand God), yourself and others. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
