Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Tend to Your Heart
“Tend to your heart. Your heart is the first battleground. It is not those different from you or those like you and your family or even your enemy. Your heart must be conquered first. It is where you battle for peace, it is where you become open to joy.
Often your heart is covered with fear, doubt, judgement, to name a few things and all this must be removed. So, it is at your heart where you must surrender to the reality of your divine and holy self, your authentic self. Most of all it is a battle to clear out all those things that hide and distract you from your divine and holy self. But it is a battle that is easily won if you surrender to the truth of who you are which is your divine calling and what you want deepest for yourself. It is your purpose. It is a battle easily won if you surrender to the truth of who you are, a divine creation full of my essence. Surrender to this. Know my love which is at the center of you and is freely and abundantly given to you. I love you.”
Often we want to battle with others but first we must battle our own heart. Consequently we must cast out the demons of fear and anger and we must get our own hearts cleaned up before we try to clean up the hurts and troubles of the world. It is old fashion to think about casting out demons but we all have them. So, we have to be on a regular schedule of keeping our hearts clean up and healed. If you want to know more about how to tend to your heart, leave me a comment below.
MIchael,
This is just what I need to hear tonight. Hugh and I have been arguing about money all day, and we’re both hurting. He’s gone down to the basement to sleep and doesn’t want to talk to me.
I am praying for God to cleanse the fear & anger demons so my heart can heal and soften.
Blessings,
Rebecca
