Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Live In Freedom
“You are free. Live your life in freedom. Do not set yourself up as a judge of other people and do not compare yourself to others. When you realize that you are free, you will experience a new reality which is a reality of love. When you get a taste of my love you can put aside the tedious rules of life and live by the life-giving power of love. This love is more powerful than rules. It heals better than any medicine and calls faith your true self that incarnates my love in you and the world. Let go of self-doubt, judging yourself, needless comparisons and rules that seek to control. Surrender to the freedom of the Divine spark within you. I love you. ”
Our world is very materialistic, full of judging and comparing. Celebrity status, however you define that, seems to be the goal and there is a lot of comparing and judging to see who gets to the top first with the most stuff. But that does not address the issues of the needs we have in our heart. To spend our time judging and comparing takes up the room where love can grow in our heart. And when love grows we are more prone to sharing what we have rather than judging ourselves with respect to what we have and don’t have. How do you keep from judging or comparing yourself with others? I would love to know your thoughts in the comments below.
I keep from judging the same way you recommend: letting love grow. that fills up the space we in our loneliness fill up with judgment and pain. thanks for this. heart-growth is the antitdote to much. joy is the antitdote for judgment – when you’re joyful you lay off others. blessings to all.
