Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

Listen For Me

Listen for Me“Listen for me in the stillness of your heart.  Your first knowledge of me is of love. It is a love that you knew even before your birth.  This is a love that you think you do not know or think you have forgotten.  But you have not.  You have only let it be covered over with your life experiences.  Anger and fear help you forget about this love.  And so you must work and ask for my help in removing anger and fear so that you can remember my love for you.  In your remembering you will be free, healed and you will live in love.  And you will live from your holiness, full of love and clear about your reason for being.  Listen for the love.”

There is a lot of talk going on in our head.  When you add voices of the world to what we hear in our head, sometimes it can be hard to hear the language of love.  The language of love does not judge or hate.  Nor does the language of love accepts other, even those who are different from you.  The language of love seeks unity and diversity not sameness.  Some use words of exclusion when it comes to love.  But there is no exclusion when it comes to God’s (however you understand God) love. God’s love is for all, yourself, your neighbor and your enemy or the one who is different than you.  Listen in your own head.  Do you hear God’s love?  What keeps you from hearing?  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
