Accept Your Completeness | Friday Food

During difficult, rapidly changing times like a pandemic, it is often hard to accept your completeness.  During these times we tend to focus on what we don’t have or what we lack.  But we actually have everything we need within us to get us through difficult times.

Accept Your Completeness

Accept Your CompletenessWhen you accept your completeness, you become aware that on your deepest level, some would say the spiritual level of who you are, you have everything you need.  The wisdom for living life is in you.  This has nothing to do with perfection.  You arrived on the planet with this wisdom.  As you live your life, doubts, fears, anger begin to cause you to forget your completeness.  Life happens and you are wounded and those wounds distract you from the fullness of who you are.  When we forget this, we tend to focus on what we don’t have or what we think we need in order to get through life.

In actuality, we arrived on the planet with everything we need within us to make it through life.  Therefore, it is important to not only realize that but to remove the obstacles that keep us from knowing who we are.  This requires a practice that helps us get rid of the dust bunnies of fear and anger that distract us from our completeness.  It also requires a practice of healing our wounds.  When we cleanse our soul of fear and anger and keep our wounds cleaned up we enter the land of rest.  It is also the land of freedom.  This is the land of peace, love and joy.  When we are in the land of rest, we understand and live from a place of our completeness.

Ponder

In order to make it through rapidly changing times like a pandemic, it is important that we not focus on what we lack, or want or miss or grieve because things have changed.  Those are all symptoms of our need for cleansing and healing.  So, rather than focus on those things, it is helpful to focus on our completeness, what we do have.  And what we have is the ability to navigate a pandemic or any other time of change.  If you do not have a practice that helps you connect to your completeness, let me know.  I would be happy to explore with you ways to do that.
