Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

Be at Peace

Be at Peace“Be at Peace and be in peace.  I am peace.  You are peace.  We are peace.  Therefore, don’t be distracted by anything.  Do not let peace be disturbed.  My peace is all around.  Breathe it in, make it part of who you are.  Make it a part of all you do.  Be peace, live peace, exude peace.  I am peace and I am in you and all of the creation.  So, when you suffer, be at peace and know that you suffer with me and for me.  Remember, peace is all around.  Soak it up, breathe it in.  Give praise as you breathe.  Let thanksgiving flow and you will be safe in all of these things.  Do not be afraid.  You cannot understand my peace.  It is too big.  BUT you can be my peace.”  

It is important to nurture peace in our lives.  Often we are distracted by the many un-peaceful things going on around us and often accept this reality of an un-peaceful world.  One of the challenges of our spiritual life is to realize that what we see around us is actually only part of the reality.  There is also another reality.  The reality of peace and so we must remember to nurture it every day.  Like the oxygen we breathe, peace is there whether we know it or not.  So take some time each day to remember the air we breathe and the peace that is abundantly present in our lives.  How do you keep your peace?  Let me know in the comments below.
