Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

Wholeness Depends on Connection

Wholeness Depends on Connection“Your wholeness and healing depend on your connection to me, (however you understand me) others, and the cosmos.  I am present with you — healing, cleansing and making whole for you and all the cosmos.  So, don’t give up on your healing.  Rather, continue to present yourself for healing of things known and unknown.  Humanity suffers and your own healing is important work in the healing of humanity and the cosmos.  It is all connected.  I have created nothing in isolation.  One thing depends on another and The other.  Since I have created things to be in relationship to one another, there is no enemy.  There is only neighbor.  Everything is connected, everything is in relationship with the other.  Pay attention to what is different for there you can see something of me, something that points to me.  I love you.”

Many of us have grown up in a culture that advocates for the rugged independence of the individual.  We are expected to pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and make our way on in life.  But that is not how God (however you understand God) put things in motion.  Everything is interrelated and when we ignore that we become wounded and isolated.  One  way to heal that brokenness is to begin to look for ways to connect even to those things that we don’t understand or seem different from ourselves.  How do you connect to new and different things?  I think it is an important role we have in our own healing and the healing of the world.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.
