Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
One In Spirit
“We are all one in Spirit. I am present with you in all things. Your Spirit and my Spirit are connected and our Spirits are connected to your neighbor. In this way, we are all one in Spirit. This is why you must care for your neighbor and your enemy and to seek what is best for all. Because we are all one in Spirit. I love you.”
As the political race hits a fevered pitch we often forget that we are one. The political parties focus on differences rather than focusing on our oneness as Divine creatures. How do you love your enemy in times like this? How do you advocate for and work for the oneness of all creation? How do you remind yourself that we are all one in Spirit? Would love to hear your comments below.
We need to remind ourselves each day that we are all one, all brothers and sisters in the midst of all our cousin creatures, plants, rocks and more. This is our starting place, not our goal. So, you love your enemy because he/she is your brother/sister.Your famly can wound you but you don’t stop being part of the family, whether you are the wounder or the wounded.
