Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. Seek Peace Today
“Seek peace today for yourself and you will find it not only for yourself but for the world as well. Be an instrument of peace. Live your life in a peaceful way. Treat others peaceably. Throw in a good measure of love. Bring joy to all things. Be patient in dealing with other people and other members of creation. Promote the common good. Do not forget the tie that binds all creation which is my love for you and all the cosmos. Relax….fall into my presence, know of my love and joy. I love you.”
Peace is all around us despite the clamoring of the world’s powers to tell us otherwise. We are imbued with peace if we will allow it. Peace cannot exist in us or in the world if we are angry, judging or fearful. Each day we must be intentional about the peace that is already present. It is a peace that passes all understanding in our rational minds. But our hearts know it well if we give it a place to be. This week, take some time every day to breathe some peace. Morning, noon and night, breathe peace. Remind yourself that peace is real, natural and ever present. I would love to hear how you connect to peace in the comments below.
I connect to peace by breathing, by listening to my breath, to honoring the presence of peace with me always. Peace is also my safe place, alone and in the midst of other things. I am safe in peace, I am a safe presence for others in peace.
