Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. No Bargains for Me
No bargains for me. You already know I don’t play that game. I only want one thing and that is for you to surrender to my presence in your life. You know that this takes a lifetime because, in your surrender to me, you begin to realize that your soul gets what it wants. When your soul gets what it wants then you know the joy of living the life you have always wanted. This is very satisfying but you must first get through the selfish layers of control, denial, anger, and fear. You can only get through those layers by learning and practicing love and forgiveness. I am always willing to help you with that and to heal the wounds that slow you down on the love and forgiveness path. I love you.
I’ve never known anyone to successfully bargain with God. I’ve tried myself to strike a deal. My experience is that God (however you understand God) gets deathly silent. A bargain with God means you think you can capture God’s favor. But God wants to give you all that and more already without a bargain. God wants for us the same thing we want for ourselves which is peace, joy, and love. Those are free gifts already given. What is your experience in bargaining with God?
