Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

My Love is Inclusive Love

“My love is inclusive love.  It excludes no one.  There are those who are different from you and who are doing the work of my kingdom.  People who are different than you can also show you who I am.    They are also sharing the good news.  Sometimes the institution has labeled them as “against me” or have said that they are not true followers simply because they call me by a different name or have different beliefs about me.  My love is inclusive.  If someone, even if they call me a different name is about peace and justice, if they are bringing good news or if they live in joy, then they know me.  If they know me and see to listen to me, then they are not outside the kingdom.  I do not follow Institutional rules.  Everyone will begin to understand the power of my love when they accept that the institutional rules do not control me.  I love you.”

Many of us have been part of institutions that make rules about how we are to live and be the people of God (however you understand the people of God).  God (however you understand God) cannot be institutionalized.  God is about peace, justice, healing, love, mercy….those kinds of things.  So, if you are putting your effort into those things then you are on God team even if you are rejected by the religion team.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments below
