Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Listen and Watch with Your Heart and Mind
“In addition to listening you must also watch. Open your spiritual eyes to what is around you. Listen to what you hear and keep your eyes open for what you see. This is to say — listen with your heart an see with your heart. You do not have to take what you see and hear at face value. There is always more. You will know what that is by using your heart. So, keep our heart open, practice leading with your heart. Learn to silence your mind so that your heart can hear and see. Let me heal the wounds of your heart so that your heart will be strong and not suffer from its wounds. A healthy heart loves and forgives freely. I love you.”
Most of us are stuck in our brains. Our brains have a lot of information to process these days and not all of that information is true or reliable. So it is important to silence our minds for a little while and listen and see with our heart. This is how we see the big picture. Silence is how we keep from being overcome by all the information. In this silence, we learn to love and forgive. How do you listen and hear with your heart? Make time for silence? I would love to read your comments below.
Good stuff! I know I need to work on this. I stay too busy and need to take time just to be … and to be silent. I will try listening with my heart. It sounds a little challenging.
