God is here. God is not stuck in heaven … wherever that might be. God does not confine God’s self to a place whether it is a church, a synagogue or mosque. God passes through these places from time to time and God may in fact, find them very pleasing as far as buildings go, but God is not permanently attached to any of those places God does not live exclusively in any part of the world as God is too big for any one nation or city. God does not live in America or the Middle East. God lives in our heart. And God lives in the heart of those who are different from us. We are to look for God in our own heart as well as in the heart of the other. As you observe your world today, pay attention to things that seem different or even uncomfortable to you.
