Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Give Up and Surrender
Give up. Surrender. Let me do the hard work. All you need to do is show up, listen and do what you are led to do in order to stay in relationship with me. So, don’t be judgemental. Keep yourself cleaned up and healed. Don’t get stuck in anger. Allow joy and peace to flow through you. It is not necessary to have all the right answers in any given situation. Simply put your best effort into your relationship with me, yourself and others. Because you are enough. Therefore, let me do my part. I love you.
Life is not perfect and we will eventually run into a roadblock. We get to a place where we have exhausted all of our physical, emotional and spiritual resources. We hit a brick wall. These are times to surrender to what is and stop fighting against reality. Even if it is a reality that needs to be changed, fighting against it will not change it. This is a good time to surrender and to let God (however you understand God) to work through you to get through the situation and change the reality. To be self-sufficient is to ignore the Divine power that moves and breathes within us. How do you stay connected to this Divine power especially in difficult times? I would love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
I love the “let me do my part” part! When we all allow god to do god’s part, we are whole in our relationship with god.
