Feeding your soul during the pandemic can be a challenge. We have been given a lot of information about how to take care of our physical bodies during this time of the pandemic. I want to give you some ways to take care of your spirit/soul. So, I’m going to be offering some simple tools to help you take care of the inner you as you follow recommendations for taking care of your body.
When you breathe peace and you share with your neighbor (however you define neighbor) your spirit/soul is safe. There is a lot of information that might make us feel afraid in our spirit/soul. Breathing peace and sharing stabilizes us and makes our soul or spirit feel safe.
The Input
To breathe peace, simply focus on your breath at least once a day. Three times a day if you are feeling anxious. Just three breaths. Imagine the breath/peace coming in from your back and dwelling in your body. Simple. That is the food you need for your soul.
The Output
The exercise that you need for your soul is to share and accept the sharing of others. This might seem difficult during times of social distancing. So be creative. Go to the store for someone who can’t, share your hand sanitizer, even prayer or thoughts of loving-kindness toward others are a way to share of yourself. And don’t forget to accept the sharing of others however it may come to you via phone, text or the receiving of needed supplies.
The Outcome
So when you breathe some peace and share with your neighbor(however you understand your neighbor) your Spirit will feel safe. Let me know how it goes in the comments below.
