Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. Everybody is In
Everybody is in. There’s a lot of talk about who is in and who is out. Judgment with respect to who I love and who I reject is useless. It is better for you to assume that I love everyone no matter how despicable you may perceive them to be. In fact, I may choose you to show them, my love. So, keep yourself nourished in my love. Take in my love frequently and in all its varieties. You never know how or what kind of love is available to you at any moment. Nor do you know how or what kind of love you may be asked to share. Do your best to love deeply and freely and ask me to heal any wound that would keep you from this deep abiding love.
Some people are easier to love than others. God (however you understand God) asks us to love everyone including and especially those we don’t want to love. Jesus called them our enemies. But really, it is anyone different from us. Unless we understand how much God loves us, we will have a hard time loving those different from us. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
