Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Don’t Worry About the End
Don’t worry about the end. Most of this end time stuff is speculation and truth. You can already bear witness to the gloom and doom. But what is also true is that underneath all of the gloom and doom is the joy of something new being born. I am Emmanuel, I am already present in ou and in the world. I am present in the world and I am at work in your and in the world. So, don’t worry about the end. Concentrate on the new beginning in your life and in the world. I am making all things new. The old is passing away and I need your help in birthing the new thing and healing the old thing. Never lose confidence in my love and peace. Don’t worry about the end, live in my hope and joy that others may be healed and be made new to me and to each other.
There are those who would have us believe that the end is near. But this is not news. God (however you understand God) is always about the work of new things. Something is going to die when transformation happens. The old way must go. The old way of self-preservation, perfection, rule keeping. Think about what you need to let go, to be made new, in order to be the person you are called to be? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Since we can never know “the end” time (not us, not bible folks, not anyone) we need, as you say, to live in the love and peace and joy of God. End time is clearly not our business!
