Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Breathe Some Peace
“Breathe some peace. Be peaceful today. Re-create yourself today. Don’t push yourself. Let your Spirit re-energize. Your work can be deep and strong and times. When this happens you need to take a rest. When this happens, take some time to gather yourself back together. This requires rest and reconnection to your divine self. Don’t forget that I am with you in your work and in your rest. Take some time to let my Spirit connect to your Spirit and when our Spirits are connected, you will be refreshed. I love you.”
We live in a world that values accomplishments, to do lists, excelling at all costs. God (however you understand God) has a different idea about this. God (however you understand God) believes that rest is an important part of life. Rest is how we refresh ourselves so that we can do our work in a more healthy way. Rest prevents burn out and keeps our joy for life alive. How do you make sure you are getting enough rest whether sleep or recreation? I would love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
