Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

Be Ready Every Day

Be Ready Every Day“Be ready every day.  It takes a daily practice to make sure that you are ready to do my work which is also your work because it helps you accomplish the deepest desires of your heart.  So, don’t worry about the news channels constantly bombarding you with “news.”  the real news is that I am in control and that I am offering peace, hope, joy, and love to all those who are making themselves ready to receive it.  So your work is not to fight for or against anything.  Your work is to prepare yourself to receive my gift.  Get yourself healed up, clear out all the distractions, breathe peace and take in plenty of love.  Then you will see and know my kingdom.  No instrument of war will be needed.  Do your own work and others will follow until my kingdom comes for you and all the world.  I love you.”

Ponder

We live in a world full of distractions.  These distractions keep us from our true and divine nature.  These distractions keep us from connecting to the kingdom of God (however you understand God) which is the kingdom of love, joy, and peace.  In order to deal with these distractions, we need a practice of silence and mindfulness, meditation, centering prayer, anything that helps us focus on our true identity and purpose in life.  Do you have a daily spiritual practice?  If so, please share it in the comments below.  If not, let me know and I would be happy to work with you to develop one.

  1. you are right about having a daily tme together with God (however understood). No relationship works well entirely long distance with possibly a few reports now and then. God is there for you, you are there for god. it isn’t difficult. just check in and listen to your partner!! thanks for this!
