God is not only ready to heal your wounds; God wants those wounds to be healed. Sometimes we feel like we have a black hole of emptiness in our hearts. Remember that everything we need to heal the wounds we carry is already in us and at our disposal. Often we spend a lot of time thinking this black space is hopeless, empty, void of anything but pain and sorrow. But the truth is that if you will let it be, and stop picking at the scab, it will begin to heal. God heals our wounds.
First, you must accept that the healing light is already present in the darkness of your wound. This healing light is deepest inside you and is always looking for a way to come forth. This light is love and goodness and it is God’s presence in you. The wound has convinced you that you are not love and goodness rather, that you are wounded. You are not the wound. Stop focusing on the wound and let the light shine through that wound and be healed. Remember that the light within us is seeking to heal us. Remember that you are not the wound; you are the light that heals the wound in yourself and in others.
