Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

Life with me is abundant.  Do not be stingy with the way you live.  Do not be overly cautious. Live life fully.  Give yourself fully to life. Following me is meant to be joyful and satisfying.  Open your heart and know that joy of this abundant life. You will find joy, peace, and love in abundance.  If you do not experience these things then you have become distracted along the way. If you are distracted, repent…go in a different direction which is the direction of love, joy, and peace.  This is where you find your hope in living the abundant life.

We live in a world that defines abundance based on things that we have or possess in our material world.  This includes things like cars, homes, and jobs. As we seek to nurture our spiritual lives we realize that these material things don’t really bring us the satisfaction we desire.  In fact, we eventually learn that we are all seeking the same thing which is love, joy, and peace. God (however you understand God) desires that our lives be abundant with joy, love, and peace.  How do you stay connected to this joy, love, and peace? Or what things distract you from it? I would love to read your comments below.
