Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
No Need for Confusion
“No need for confusion. I have come, will come and am here now. No need to be confused. I have always been with you and will be forever and eternally with you. But most of all, I am with you now and we get to see what that means together. We get to walk together in the garden of life. Sing in heavenly choirs now and bring peace, love, and joy to the world. Ask for what you need to do this and learn your lessons of love and forgiveness. Use your anger to bring about the strong good news in love. And always breathe peace so that it may continue to circulate the ethers fro without it love cannot survive. I love you.”
It is important to remember that our relationship with God (however you understand God) is of the present moment. Some folks are so focused on what God has done or is going to do, that they forget that God is alive and well in the present moment. Sometimes we forget that. How do you focus on God in the present? Do you remember that God wants to spend time with you in joy and love and peace? Tell me about our daily experience of God–however you understand God–in the comments below.
Sometimes the present is our 4th choice of where to live, following after the past, the future, and the fantasy. None of those enhance your ability to be, to be whole, healthy and fulfilled in yourself. Sometimes they rescue you from pain, but that rescue doesn’t last. You are present just because you are. God is present just because God is. The two of you might as well shake hands and figure out how to live together in grace, power and presence.
thanks for this writing, Michael.
Thanks, Jane, this is a great reminder of living in the present. Shake hands and figure it out!!
