Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

My Desire For You

“My desire for you is to know how much I love you.  I am with you in all things and in all ways.  My desire for you is that my love will show you the way to peace and that you be healed body, mind, and soul.  I am not looking for perfection in your life … a keeping of a list of rules… for in my eyes, you are already perfect and redeemed.  You are already whole and healed.  My desire is for you to understand this and wholly accept it as your reality.  Give thanks in all things, know my love and grace and mercy endure forever and are exceedingly abundant to you.  I love you.”

God’s love for us (however you understand God) is beyond measure.  It is important for us to understand that this love leads us to peace, healing and a life authentic living.  Sometimes this requires that we change our mind about things we have been taught by others including the church.  What are long-held beliefs that keep you from knowing the healing love of God?  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
