Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. I Only Have One Rule
“I only have one rule. That is the rule of love. Love me, neighbor and self for in fact they are all the same. I am in you and your neighbor and when you love yourself and your neighbor you are also loving me. I only have one rule. My love is meant to bring unity and reconciliation. Unity and reconciliation with me, your neighbor and yourself. There can be no separation. If there is separation look to see where love is lacking. Always seek love and ask for the courage to love especially when love seems absent. I only have one rule, the rule of love. I love you.”
Sometimes people tell me about all the rules you have to keep in order to be in relationship with God (however you understand God) and then they proceed to list the things you have to do or not do in order to be “in” or loved by God. Personally, I haven’t mastered the first rule yet, which is love. I figure that this will take me an entire lifetime and so I really don’t have to worry about the other rules. I would love to know your thoughts about this rule of love in the comments below.
