Welcome to Friday Food!  A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday.  For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”.  In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God).  We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too!  When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes.  This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head.  Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things.  Just let them speak to your heart.  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  Here is today’s download:

Your Authentic Self Reveals Your Divine Spark

“Your authentic self-reveals your divine spark.  There is much rejoicing when this divine spark is revealed in you.  Every time you are authentic, you lose a part of your inauthentic or false self and return to the person that you really are.  Losing part of yourself or being confused or losing your way, are all ways to connect more deeply with your soul, your spirit, your Godself, that divine spark that lives within you.  That spark is the essence of who you are.  So, the key is to be open to the possibilities when that happens.  Remember to always be on the lookout for ways to get rid of what keeps you from being authentic.  Even if you are sure that you cannot be who you are, where you are and run away, take a moment to stop and collect yourself.  Reconnect to your divine spark and then you will know what to do.  I love you.”

Living authentically is a spiritual experience.  Trying to conform to the wishes of others, make others happy or obey the rules we have been taught can cause us to get lost on our journey.  For some people, the church has imposed rules that caused them to get lost.  To live authentically, we must listen with our heart and nurture the divine spark within us.  How do you connect to the divine within yourself?  The divine within others?  Let me know what you think in the comments below.
