Welcome to Friday Food! A little bit of food for your soul…every Friday. For the next few months, we are looking at “Downloads from Heaven”. In these “downloads” we are contemplating what it would be like if we got a message from God (however you understand God). We will be exploring messages from God about pain and suffering and healing and blessing and love and peace other topics too! When you read these “downloads” you will notice that they are in quotes. This is to help you think from your heart NOT your head. Don’t get caught up in whether or not God, (however you understand God) actually said these things. Just let them speak to your heart. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Here is today’s download:
Abundant Life
“Life with me is abundant. Do not be stingy with the way you live. Do not be over cautious, live life fully. Give yourself fully to life. Following me should be joyful and satisfying. Open your heart and know the joy of the abundant life. You will find joy, peace, hope, and love all in abundance by following me. If you do not experience these things then you have become distracted along the way. If you are distracted, go in a different direction. Always turn to the direction of love, hope, joy, and peace. Seek these things and your life will be abundant. I love you.”
Somewhere along the way, we forgot or were told that life, a life of faith, has to be a struggle. Of course, we face our difficulties but one of the lessons of life is not to let those difficulties define us or consume us. This takes a good bit of work and listening and looking for God’s (however you understand God) presence. The kingdom of peace, love, joy, and hope is at hand. How do you stay connected to that kingdom? Let me know in the comments below.
yep, ‘one of theh lessons of life is to not let difficulties define or consume us.’ good prophesying michael!
